Description

The Department became operational when the Semester system was introduced during the 2012 academic session. Prior to it, it was functioning under the nomenclature of General Foundation Course (GFC). With the appointment of a suitable Teacher having adequate qualifications in the discipline, the department has attained the status of a full-fledged Department.

Vision

The Department of Environmental Science envisions fostering essential knowledge and ability to tackle the environmental challenges; develops the knowledge, talent and leadership to understand the changing Earth and to solve the enormous resource and environmental challenges facing the world now and in the decades ahead. To train and create a sustainable society that embodies respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, social and economic justice.

To strive to provide diverse learning experiencethat offers service/experiential learning.

*          To offer experience based learning opportunities for students to gain knowledge, appreciate diversity, work collaboratively, solve complex problem and adapt to change.

*          To achieve plastic free campus.

*          To initiate beautification/plantation in and around the campus to promote green campus.

*          To acquire and develop knowledge, skills,capabilities and value that enriches their lives and prepares them to meet the need and challenges of the contemporary world.
